A great base to discover Nerja and the surrounding area, Chimenea C1D is a lovely first floor apartment with private terrace offering stunning views over Burriana Beach, the coastline and mountains.

Situated in the same peaceful residential area as our Chimenea villas (Villa El Paraiso, Villa Las Brisas, Villa Azalea and Villa Dos Ardillas) above Burriana Beach, our three Chimenea apartments are in a lovely complex with large communal pool and secure parking. The apartments are a 500 metre walk down to Burriana Beach with its many bars, shops and restaurants and a 30-minute walk or 5-minute drive to the historic centre of Nerja and the famous Balcón de Europa. There is a bus stop directly in front of the apartments with a regular local bus service. There are supermarkets within a short drive or 10 minute walk.

The apartment has an open dining and living area with french windows opening out to the private terrace with outside table for al fresco dining and separate kitchen. There is a large, airy Kingsize double bedroom and another bedroom with twin single beds. The apartment has a large family bathroom with bathtub and over bath shower.

Facilities include a lift, fully fitted kitchen with oven/hob, microwave, dishwasher, and fridge freezer, washing machine, safe, free wifi, TV with international channels, air-conditioning in the living room and master bedroom. The apartment also has a garage in the secured, underground car park. The communal pool is 10m x 4m with depths 0.9m to 1.4m, is surrounded by large terraces and is open year-round.

All rentals include bed linen and towels which are changed weekly for stays over 10 nights. End of stay cleaning is also included. We have a range of optional services available at an additional cost and subject to availability - including welcome food packs, cots, highchairs, beach towels, additional housekeeping, taxi transfers and pets (on request) ...

Nerja really does offer something for everyone – whether wandering around the typically Spanish streets of whitewashed houses and the famous Balcón de Europa, shopping in the lively commercial area, enjoying the many water sports available at one of our amazing beaches, hiking in the incredible Sierra Almijara or making the most of free tapas still served with drinks in most bars – you’ll never be bored!

The local caves – Cueva de Nerja – and the neighbouring hillside “Pueblo Blanco”, Frigiliana, are incredible must-sees during your stay. Further afield but within easy reach there are waterparks, aquariums, zoos, golf courses, the beautiful Sierra Nevada Mountain range with fabulous skiing over the winter months and the beautiful Andalusian cities of Málaga, Seville, Cordoba and Granada. Nerja has a great network of public transport – or you can hire a car to discover the area at your own pace.

The whole booking process from start to finish was so easy. We had various options for payment, taxis or car-hire organised and a contact name and number of a representative in resort supplied.Everything to give us peace of mind.
The apartment was over and above our expectations with everything supplied -home from home. We love Nerja and know the areas well although for others they can see the location on the google maps supplied.
All in all we could not fault the service, the standard of accommodation and of course the location is perfect.A wonderful holiday which we will certainly recommend to others.


Very nice compact little flat. Everything you needed (could not get the dvd to work) Gate to the left of property sometimes unlocked so would reduce the walk to beach and town but annoying when locked because it was then a long way round. Managed well without a car though young children or older people might struggle with hills. Nerja is a lovely holiday destination as its not too far with lovely beaches and really good restaurants for all.

The apartment was very clean and everything worked. Directions to the apartment were good and car parking was ok. All in all a very nice place to stay, good views from the balcony. The only comment is that we struggled with one of the keys into the apartment block – the other key worked fine

Location Information

Nerja is on the seashore some 50 kilometres from Málaga on the N340 coastal highway, and marks the eastern tip of Málaga's Costa del Sol. Once a sleepy fishing village, the town now has a population of over 12,000. Nerja boasts 16 kilometres of beaches with powdery sand and sparkling clear water. All major water sports are available here, including water skiing, scuba diving and sailing. Flanked by a dramatic mountain range, Sierra Almijara, to the east, the town has, fortunately, managed to avoid being blighted by the concrete high-rise scenario which has been the inevitable result of the tourist boom in some of the coastal resorts. The old quarter of the town is still virtually unchanged with narrow, winding streets, whitewashed houses with wrought iron terraces overflowing with geraniums, on which a canary can sometimes be heard singing. However, the heart of Nerja is its spectacular Balcón de Europa, the "Balcony of Europe", a magnificent promenade along the edge of a towering cliff, once the site of the great Moorish castle, with sweeping panoramic views of the Mediterranean and the small coves and beaches below, against an awesome backdrop of hazy blue mountains. There are plenty of restaurants and cafes here to choose from, and the visitor can hire a horse-drawn carriage to explore the most romantic corner of the town. The town's monuments include the 17th century Church of El Salvador, in a style which is a charming mixture of baroque and Moorish, or mudéjar, and the beautiful Gardens of Capistrano Playa, which descend to Burriana Beach. However, Nerja's most spectacular attraction is undoubtedly its fascinating caves, located just three kilometres from the centre of town. They include archaeological treasures such as paintings over 20,000 years old and other pre-historic remains. One of the enormous natural caverns has been transformed into a concert hall, where many performances are staged during the summer.
